So far, 168 people have died from the pandemic

Ghana has recorded 782 new COVID-19 cases from samples taken between 23 June and 25 July 2020, the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye has said.

He told journalists on Tuesday, 28 July 2020 that the cases are from 58 districts in seven regions.

Nine regions did not record any positive cases within that period.

So far, he said 382,752 tests have been conducted.

Dr Kuma-Aboagye said a total of 34,000 cases have been confirmed nationwide.

Also, 30,621 patients have recovered, representing 89 per cent of the total cases.

The active cases are 3,617.

The majority of the cases are asymptomatic.
