Sports Business Africa Centre, a think tank division of RICS Consult Limited, Ghana’s foremost sports business agency will launch Africa’s Passions quarterly magazine as the mouthpiece for the continental sports business in July.

According to Mr. Magnus Naabe Rex Danquah, the Head of SBAC and the Managing Editor of the quarterly magazine, the magazine would feature articles covering all essential areas of the industry including sponsorship, marketing and advertising.

Other areas to be covered by the Quarterly are Brand Protection, Copyrights and trademarks: Governance and Regulatory Matters, Lottery Distributions, Funding and Awards, among others.

According to Mr. Rex Danquah, the 60-page full colour quarterly magazine would target a million global online readership and a 100,000 corporate and individual free subscriptions in Ghana.

The maiden edition would feature various reviews of international games and tournaments hosted, and or those planned for the African continent between the years 2018 and 2023 including the Total Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Ghana 2018, the hosting and organisation of the 12th African Games, Rabat 2019 and bidding rights for the 2023 African Games.

Mr Rex Danquah, the Managing Editor of the African Passions magazine intimated that the Quarterly would also institute an annual sports business industry awards as well as honour global sports achievers of African descent in 2022-2023 during a proposed Global Convention for Africa Sports in Accra.
