The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that it will commence registration of prison inmates and eligible Senior High School (SHS) students across the country onto the voter roll on Saturday, 18 July 2020.

The EC, on Tuesday, 30 June 2020, began registering voters across the country for the 2020 polls.

In a statement issued by the electioneering body on Friday, 17 July 2020, the EC said it will “continue with the Registration Exercise at the Senior High Schools because it was unable to complete the exercise on the 10 th and the 11 th July due to the large number of applicants.”

The EC further urged “all qualified persons in these institutions to cooperate with it to make the exercise successful.”
