The Ghana Badminton Association (BAG) has named a five-member team to represent Ghana at the upcoming 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

The team is made up of three experienced males and two females who were selected based on their impressive performance at national and international front.

The selected players are Ahmed Abdul Samad, Kelvin Evans Alphous (Captain), Cindy Esi Etornam Tornyenyor, Prospera Nantuo, and Aaron Dromo Tamakloe.

Mr. Moses Adu would be the Coach of the Golden Shuttlers team who would be representing the country in the Singles, Doubles and the Mixed Doubles Events.

Mr. Evans Yeboah, the President of the BAG, speaking on the team’s preparation ahead of the world championship expressed confidence in the Ghanaian team to perform at the quadrennial competition.

Ghana would be making her seventh appearance at the Commonwealth Games in Badminton and hope to make history in this year’s edition.
The 2022 Commonwealth Games would come off from 28-8 August, 2022.
