The second leg of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Champions League game between Asante Kotoko and Nouadhibou FC of Mauritania at the Accra Sports Stadium has been called off.

This decision by the match officials follows COVID 19 cases detected in the Mauritanian side.

Information gathered by the GNA Sports indicates that at least five players of the away team had tested positive for COVID 19, but Nouadhibou FC insisted on using them in the game.

This led to the delay in the start of the game until the Togolese match officials led by Komlanvi Aklassou called off the game.

The two sides would now have to wait for a final decision from CAF to determine the next step of action.

The first leg in Mauritania ended one all.
