Residents fear if nothing is done about it, it may collapse

Some residents of Nkrukan in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region have appealed to the authorities to salvage a dilapidated public toilet facility that serves half of the inhabitants of the community.

It is situated near the Nkrukan cemetery.

Its doors are ramshackle and the structure is riddled with cracks.

The residents fear if nothing is done about it, it may collapse.

The environs of the facility have also become a refuse dumpsite.

Speaking to CTV News, a resident of the area, Enock Ayertey Amornor, pleaded with the government to intervene and fix the broken toilet facility as soon as possible.

Another resident, Adamu Ibrahim noted that the facility was built 20 years ago without any renovations.

He further pleaded with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to come to the aid of the residents and fix the facility before the upcoming December polls.
